About Bhutan Soul Journey
Bhutan Soul Journey was founded with the aim to provide a collection of exceptional and holistic approach to health and wellness retreats in Bhutan. Our vetted, curated wellness travel experiences are designed to fulfill the needs of visitors seeking a place of solace, rest and recuperation - whether through a session of peaceful, contemplative meditation, a relaxing soak in a mineral hot spring bath or the all-natural remedies of our traditional medicine.
Our Belief
We believe everyone should travel how they want to and so commit
to offering bespoke programs for each of our guests. Whatever your
main goal, interest or expectation of Bhutan, our focus is to make
it happen. We believe in offering more than the standard tour and
ensure our guests make their ‘once in a lifetime trip’ create
everlasting memories. An important factor to achieve this is to
find ways to connect with the soul and spirit of Bhutan.
Our Philosophy
From trekking, to cultural interactions, off the beaten track
experiences to focusing on wellbeing; we will create a package
that tantalizes all of your senses while delivering the
unexpected. Our philosophy of embracing the essence of Bhutan
allows our guests to not only see Bhutan, but more importantly
feel the spirit of Bhutan. In line with this we work directly with
the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary in Paro, which offers a new generation
of inspirational hospitality delivering the beyond. Bhutan Soul
Journey is a licensed tour operator and Destination Management
Company dedicated to creating unique wellness travel experiences
in Bhutan. We are also the local DMC for Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary,
the only well-being inclusive 5-star resort in Bhutan.
Our Team
Bhutan Soul Journey has built a core team of 6 permanent employees
and numerous guides, chauffeurs, researchers, and ground crew.
Rabsel Dorji and Sonam Penjore are partners and head the
organization. Rabsel has an MBA from Switzerland and has been
operating in the Bhutanese tourism industry for the past 7 years.
Sonam Penjore graduated from Ecole Hoteliere Les Roches and has
also been in the hospitality and tourism industry for the last 9
years. They are supported by Shanti Devi and Dorji Wangdi who work
on sales, finance and operations. Shanti’s energetic personality
and experience in sales, and Dorji’s calm and detail-oriented work
approach make for a great combination. Pema Choki and Pema Dorji
are hardworking and invaluable support staff who manage to
tirelessly take on important tasks. All 7 of our tour leaders and
guides are experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. They have a
range of expertise and native experience, and will often share
personal stories of their own lives and families along with their
beliefs, which help provide a deeper understanding of Bhutan’s
people and culture.
